Founders' Story

RezMovers was founded by Ava Rimmer-Parla (Concordia University) and Charbel Bou Chacra (McGill University), two recent graduates who lived through the exact stress we are solving.

Our first year in residence was one of the most transformative experiences of our lives. But when April arrived, reality hit.

​

Final exams.
Move-out deadlines.
Finding a new apartment for September.
Planning summer travel home.
And figuring out what to do with everything we owned.

We remember the stress clearly:

• Buying storage boxes last minute

• Carrying heavy bins down multiple flights of stairs

• Coordinating elevators and tight move-out windows

• Finding an affordable storage unit

• Borrowing a car or paying for transportation

• Moving everything to a storage facility across the city

• Worrying about security and damage

• Then doing it all over again in September

It felt unnecessary, overwhelming, and inefficient, especially while studying for finals.
